Note: Amazon can automatically detect your location hence it will only show items that specifically ship to Philippines. If you don't want any limits on items shown on the Amazon website, then you must add a U.S. address or zip code.

2. Add items to your Shopping Cart then proceed to Checkout

In this example, let’s go shopping for a camera. I simply used the search box to find Panasonic Lumix GH5S.

Once you’re done searching for products you want, just add them to your Shopping Cart.

Once you’re done, just Proceed to checkout.

Upon checkout, the first thing it will ask you to enter is shipping address. Just enter your Philippine address or wherever you want the package to be delivered. Here’s an example:

Next, choose your Delivery option. If you’re wondering why the shipping is expensive,  take note that this is international shipping to Philippines so it’s definitely higher than usual. After choosing your option, click “Continue.”

Next, enter your payment method. Amazon accepts all major credit cards. Debit card will also work as long as it has Visa or Mastercard logo. If you don’t have one, I suggest you get a prepaid credit card.

3. Place your Amazon Order

Finally, on the last page of Amazon checkout, you will see your Order Summary – the breakdown and total cost of your shopping.

Let’s talk about the shipping fees, import fees, and taxes for a moment.

Amazon automatically calculates these for you..

  • Shipping & handling – the cost of international shipping from Amazon to Philippines
  • Estimated tax to be collected – this is US based tax (depending on sellers’ shipping location). Usually $0 or just a small amount when it’s there .
  • Import Fees Deposit – this is the fee that Amazon pays, on your behalf, to clear customs taxes in the Philippines. Although it is automatically calculated, this cost may not be final. Depending on the classification or value of the product, Customs may impose additional charges. Amazon will debit the additional fees from the payment method you’ve used. However if the Import Fees Deposit is actually higher than what Customs requires, then the difference will be refunded by Amazon to your payment account.

As you can see in this example, the shipping cost is only $22.72 but the import fees deposit is a huge $466.35! But no worries, I actually found a cool way to avoid paying import fees deposit by using a forwarder. See the tutorial here – Shipping Cart Delivery to Philippines. Otherwise, if the item you’re buying does not charge Import feed deposit, then go ahead and hit “Place your Order.”

If all goes well, you should be receiving your package within the estimated delivery time. Amazon will notify you about shipping updates via email. That’s it, and you’re all set! Just wait for the package to be delivered at your doorsteps!

In fact, this is a well-known information from online shoppers and particular collectors. While you can find Amazon in various countries worldwide, its main website – Amazon.com, operates mainly in the US. In other countries, its websites are also very popular such as Amazon.co.jp (Japan), Amazon.co.uk (UK), Amazon.ca (Canada), etc.. Conclusion

The main reason why we created these tutorials is because most imported products are so expensive. If merchants/resellers can ship products internationally and sold them here in the Philippines then we should be able to do the same thing for ourselves. As technology advances, international shipping is cheaper and it’s quite getting more conventional day after day. For this reason, we shouldn’t spend so much money on imported products sold in the Philippines, hence we should spend more time to research on our own to save our hard-earned income. Consider these tutorials good news because we did the research for you. If you like imported products from Amazon, like we do,  you are now able to ship and get these products/merchandise right at your doorsteps. After reading our guides, you should find shopping at Amazon quite remarkable, easy and exciting!

If you have new questions, please post them on our Youtube Comments.

  1. Good evening Sir Endo! I’ve recently created my ShippingCart account. I have a question. Do I input everything in my given ShippingCart Address Line 1 in the amazon shipping address line? My given US address has a part that says “Account No. XX-XXXXXX” at the end. Do I have to include that? Hoping for your reply!

    1. Yes make sure to include it. The account number is the most important address info. You can put it on Address Line 1 or 2. Either way it will work 🙂

      1. I appreciate the clarification Sir Endo! Thanks to that video of yours, I can finally start procuring some odd and rare knick-knacks from Amazone!!! hehehe. Thank you very much and God Bless!

  4. Hi Nehemiah Endo,
Thanks for creating this blog, very helpful indeed! I ordered an item from Amazon US and received it earlier than the expected delivery date. Thank you 🙂

  5. Nehemiah, how about purchasing items using a Philippine credit card? kasi ang united states mahigpit sa credit card. my mga fraud verification po ata sila. lalo na kung magkaiba po ung billing and shipping address. seems na magiiba po ung billing address which is ung sa credit card dapat, and then yung us address natin for shipping.

    1. No worries, Amazon accepts purchases even the billing address is not the same the as the shipping address. So your Philippine credit card will surely work. In case Amazon asks for further verification, it will be very easy especially if you own the card yourself.

    1. I believe Amazon Japan and Amazon UK can also do direct shipping to Philippines. Though I don’t advise direct shipping, you can try it and see for yourself if it works. 🙂

    1. Yes, most of the items I buy are from third party sellers. I’ve had no problems ordering from them so far. Just be sure to check their seller rating and feedbacks before buying from them.

  7. Hi Nehemiah!
I’m from Leyte and i’m thinking of buying books from Amazon. The books i’m trying to buy kasi are so rare and hard to find here in the Philippines so i’m stuck with the amazon option. I would like to ask if is it expensive to buy books from amazon? i mean the shipping from there to here. The books would be heavy I presume and I have read from the thread that weight is really a big issue. Would really appreciate a reply from you.
    Thank you Nehemiah Endo!
Love the blog by the way. 🙂

    1. No problem, Ray. Shipping books isn’t that expensive unless they’re too many. If you will import huge amounts of books, I guarantee you can save a lot of money by shipping them through Sea Cargo.

    1. Yes, of course. The majority of items that I actually ship from Amazon are electronics like gadgets and appliances. 🙂

    1. The shipping is definitely free if you’re located in the United States. If you’re in the Philippines, you’ll have to pay for international shipping. You can use Shipping Cart to ship items to Philippines with no problems.

  9. Hello Po! Nandito po ako sa US, at gusto kong bumili ng items sa Amazon pero sa Pinas ko papadala. Magkano po ang charge at ilan buwan bago madeliver? thanks

    1. Imported goods are always subjected to tax, but third party shippers will automatically calculate it for you to make an easy payment and you don’t have to worry dealing with Customs.

  10. I just had my first ever purchase at Amazon and used Shipping Cart. I ordered in Amazon last Jan. 29 and delivered right at my doorstep at Feb 15. It only took 16 days for me to get the book. Thanks Nehemiah for this blog. 🙂

    1. If you’re in the United States, you can shop on Amazon like a normal US resident. Have the package sent to your US home address, then ship it to the Philippines via balikbayan box, Fedex or DHL.

If you don’t want to ship the package yourself, then you can use third party shipping with Shipping Cart.

  11. Hello! Can I add items on the shopping cart and then checkout?? I just wanna see how much is the total cost of my Amazon orders.

    1. Sure you can! Feel free to add items to your shopping cart. You will see the total cost of your purchase before you can place the order.

  12. Hi Nehemiah,
What third party courier offers the cheapest delivery charge?
I want to buy books from Amazon in large quantities. Thanks a lot!

    1. If we’re talking about large quantites, I would prefer shipping them through Sea Cargo with Shipping Cart. Books are heavy so you can save a lot of money if you ship them via Sea.
